Who is Spending Time With Your Dog(s)?
Elissa and Reuben
Burda are the owners of Doggie Oasis Day Care. Elissa is a native Las Vegan, and she and Reuben moved back to Vegas from Oregon in 2002. They took their
dog Emma to one of the many day cares in Oregon while living there, and were hooked! When they couldn’t find a day care in Vegas, the Burda’s decided to
open Doggie Oasis. Since opening Doggie Oasis, the Burda's have added to their family. First with Bear, their first client, and Emma's best friend. More
recently, with their first human baby, Avery. The Burda's opened Doggie Oasis in April 2003.
Natalie has been fond of dogs since she was a little girl. On her 10th birthday, her dad brought Natalie
home a puppy. Ever since then, dogs have always been a part of Natalie’s life. She has raised a couple of them from puppies to adults. Natalie is very
happy to be working at Doggie Oasis. It is something she has always wanted to do. Her previous experience was in the accounting field, which doesn’t
quite compare to hanging out with the dogs! Natalie has been with Doggie Oasis Day Care since December 2004, is certified in Pet First Aid and CPR, and
is a Certified Pet Care Technician.
Victoria Strumillo has lived in Las Vegas since she was five years old. She has always had dogs in her
life, as well as rabbits, turtles, and ducks to name a few. Victoria is currently studying at UNLV until she finds her passion. Her dream is to open up
her very own rescue shelter for numerous types of animals. Victoria joined the Doggie Oasis team in August 2005, is certified in Pet First Aid and CPR,
and is a Certified Pet Care Technician.
Jose grew up in New Jersey, where he worked for a seasonal petting zoo and a doggie day care. Jose is a true
animal lover, growing up around farm animals, and some more unusual pets such as bats, lizards, an iguana, an ant farm, a rooster, and of course dogs.
Jose is US Marine Veteran, serving in the Marines for eight years, including a nine month rotation in Iraq. Jose now has two dogs, his son who he calls
his little "Monkey", and a boxer named "Buddy" that is always in his heart and on his mind. Jose splits his time between Doggie Oasis and a VCA
Animal Hospital. Jose has been with the Doggie Oasis team since June 2006, is a Certified Pet Care Technician, and soon to be certified as a
Red Cross Pet First Aid/CPR Instructor.

Anne had a variety of pets growing up including dogs, a hamster, a duck, a bird and several cats. Anne loves dogs and taking care of them and playing
with them is a pleasure, not a job. Making sure the dogs have fun and are safe is her main goal. Anne joined the Doggie Oasis team in August 2006 and is
a Certified Pet Care Technician.
Heather lived in Pahrump for the first ten years of her life where her father was sheriff. Heather then
moved to Las Vegas and has been here ever since. Heather's first experience with dogs was with Cricket, her father’s retired K-9 partner. She found how
important training was at an early age. Heather loves all animals and has been known to pick up strays of any type. Heather's dog Nikolai frequents
Doggie Oasis. She loves working at Doggie Oasis as it helps further her career in Animal Behavior. Heather joined the Doggie Oasis team in November
2006, is currently the Doggie Oasis Training Coordinator, and is a Certified Pet Care Technician.
